Group Therapy
Although individual counselling and therapy can definitely assist with lifes' challenges, the power of working with action methods in a group is truly awe-inspiring. Attending sessions with others has beenshown to be more effective than attending individual sessions and here's why :-
We are social beings and have all had experiences in our relationships that have had either positive or negative effects on our functioning in the present. Indeed, from the beginning of our lives we have internalised aspects of our parents and original family members that then play out in our current intimate relationships, as well as in our family and work settings.
Relationships are living, breathing entities and can be worked with to great therapeutic effect in a group with a skilled facilitator. New solutions can be found to old problems. Relationships can be healed and re-invigorated. In the safe atmosphere that is created, a playful, loving spirit enters into the group life. Participants may experience powerful emotions as the damaging effects of traumas are healed. A triumph of the loving, trusting human spirit emerges, time and time again.
